Episode 86: Last House on Bloody Moon Beach

Welcome to the super-long Episode 86: Last House on Bloody Moon Beach. In this episode, we have our top six list of Scary Movie Animals, two reviews (of course) and a TON (really, it’s a literal ton) of listener feedback. Highlighted of course by Vishnu’s Toronto International Film Festival reports.

Our first feature is the Jesus Franco 1981 flick “Die Säge des Todes,” a.k.a. Bloody Moon. This is the story of an all girls language school, a scarred ex-con, a weird incestuous sister, and some other unsavory characters that all have a part in the recent murders at the school.

Next up is another Italian attempt at exploitation cinema, 1978’s “La settima donna,” a.k.a. Terror a.k.a. Last House on the Beach. Directed by Franco Prosperi, this is the tale of three bank robbers and the trouble they run into when they decide to hole up in a house and take the people inside (one nun and five older teen girls) hostage.
